½ cup flaked coconut

½ cup pitted sour cherries, drained with liquid reserved
Directions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Combine oats, 1/2 cup brown sugar, butter, and 1/2 cup flour in a medium bowl until crumbly. Press into the bottom of a 9-inch square baking pan.

Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes.

Combine 1 cup brown sugar, 1/2 cup flour, eggs, vanilla, baking powder, and salt in the same bowl. Stir in raisins, coconut, and cherries, adding a little cherry juice to keep filling from becoming stiff; spread over baked crust.

Bake in the preheated oven until firm and lightly browned, 30 minutes. Cool and cut into bars.
