Creamy Salsa Verde

Creamy Salsa Verde

One of my new coworkers, Maria, brought me a zip-top bag of washed and prepped ingredients and told me to just throw it all in a blender. In a matter of seconds, this delicious salsa verde was born! The salsa gets its creaminess from the addition of avocado. For a mild salsa, remove the seeds and membranes from all 3 jalapenos; for extra spicy, leave them all in. I prefer to leave the seeds in only 1 jalapeno.

Best Turkey Burgers

Best Turkey Burgers

This turkey burger recipe is the best. After making them the first time my husband said "no more" to beef burgers. These are full of flavor — any cooking method may be used, and they freeze very well. The recipe can also be used for meatballs or meatloaves.

German Rhubarb Almond Cake

German Rhubarb Almond Cake

This rhubarb custard cake is a deliciously different cake that's very popular in Germany. The base of the cake is rich and buttery and is topped with chopped rhubarb and a decadent baked almond custard. Perfect with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.

Roast Chicken with Rosemary

Roast Chicken with Rosemary

This rosemary roasted chicken is inspired by my time in Italy. When I was in Vicenza at a downtown open-air market, I smelled scrumptious roast chicken from a stand. So, I bought one and saw what they stuffed in the cavity to make it taste so good. I prepare turkey this way, too.
