Brazilian Whole Banana Pie

This whole banana pie is a hit in Brazil, mainly in the city of Rio de Janeiro. Almost all the ingredients are natural, except for the margarine. It is also made with whole grains, which contribute for a good health. It supplies a lot of energy and the bananas give an extra dose of potassium. That is why this pie is consumed by athletes and people who practice sports in general. Besides, it is simply delicious!

Hoe Cake

Hoe Cake

Hoe cake is a Southern bread that is cooked in an iron skillet, like cornbread. This hoe cake recipe stems back to my great-great grandmother. My father has made this recipe for years, and it is always requested by his grandchildren. A slice of hoe cake will warm your insides — slathered with some homemade apple butter alongside of some butter beans, freshly sliced tomatoes, and a good tall glass of sweet tea. I promise your family will love this truly Southern recipe!

Instant Pot Baked Beans

Instant Pot Baked Beans

This Instant Pot baked beans recipe was passed down through my French Canadian family from my grandmother to my mother and then to me many years ago. It traditionally takes hours to make, as we let the beans slow cook overnight in the oven on low heat. I transformed it into a much quicker Instant Pot recipe with great success! With this method, you don't even have to presoak the beans. These are even better the next day and freeze well, too.
