Bannock

Bannock bread was made by our ancestors when on the trail. Try throwing in blueberries or raisins for added flavor.

Pulled Chicken Sloppy Joes (Sloppy Chickens)

Pulled Chicken Sloppy Joes (Sloppy Chickens)

I'm showing you how to make what I like to call Sloppy Chickens, which are a cross between a pulled pork sandwich and a classic ground beef Sloppy Joe, except this chicken version is way easier than both of those. And don't let the name fool you, we're not going to need to pull any chicken, since as you'll see, it actually pulls itself. Garnish these with more green onion if desired.

Exotic Mushroom and Walnut Pate

Exotic Mushroom and Walnut Pate

I got this recipe from a winery at a tasting. It is so delicious on French bread with some wine. For a chunkier consistency, you can fold in additional chopped walnuts at the end. I couldn't stop eating it at the tasting and neither could any of the other tasters!

Hearty Spanish Beef Stew

Hearty Spanish Beef Stew

I took two of my favorite Cuban dishes, ropa vieja, and picadillo, to create this Spanish beef stew. Serve with cooked rice if desired.

Oysters Bienville

Oysters Bienville

Oysters Bienville are baked oysters, smothered in a delicious sauce of bacon, shrimp, and mushrooms, topped with bread crumbs and fresh herbs. If you can’t quite do raw oysters, try this dish—I love to serve it as an appetizer. Plan on about 2 oysters per person. To save time, you may buy shucked oysters. Place 2 oysters each in a small buttered ramekin and omit the rock salt.

A delightful chocolate popcorn candy recipe. All you have to do is pop the popcorn, cover it with a homemade chocolate glaze, then bake to make crispy chocolate-coated popcorn candy!
