Banket

Banket is a great-tasting Dutch pastry filled with almond paste. My husband's family is from the Netherlands and this is the recipe they make every year at Christmas.

Lazy Chicken Parmesan Grilled Cheese

Lazy Chicken Parmesan Grilled Cheese

Wanted to eat a chicken Parmesan sub but didn't feel like spending the time cooking and breading chicken. So I opted to cut corners using frozen chicken patties and pre-prepared ingredients to make my life easier. Picked up the sub rolls and couldn't justify eating that many calories, so opted instead for sliced Italian bread and thin-sliced cheese. Turned out so surprisingly good, I thought I'd share. Enjoy!

Kielbasa for the Big Game

Kielbasa for the Big Game

This BBQ kielbasa is a great party appetizer that you can make in your slow cooker. I make it every year for the Big Game and it disappears. The ingredients sound like something a child would put together but truly it tastes great. This is an appetizer so it could feed less or more depending on the size of your football fans.

Creamy White Chili

Creamy White Chili

This white chicken chili recipe is the best chili I have ever had. It is so delicious, and everyone raves about how good it tastes. Don't count on having leftovers!

Mushroom Soup Without Cream

Mushroom Soup Without Cream

This mushroom soup without cream is a delicious broth-based soup that can be modified to your taste. It's close to a mushroom soup that I had at a great deli in Florida — I've been trying to duplicate it ever since. I finally found a basic recipe that I could modify; this is the result. Great with a salad or a sandwich. I hope that you enjoy it! Recommended mushrooms: shitake, baby portobellos, and white button mushrooms.
