Ingredients

Original recipe (1X) yields 6 servings

  • 1 (750 milliliter) bottle dry white wine

  • ¾ cup peach flavored vodka

  • 6 tablespoons frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed

  • ¼ cup white sugar

  • 1 pound white peaches, pitted and sliced

  • ¾ cup seedless red grapes, halved

  • ¾ cup seedless green grapes, halved

Directions

  1. Combine white wine, peach vodka, lemonade concentrate, and sugar in a large pitcher; stir until sugar is dissolved. Add sliced peaches, red grapes, and green grapes.

  2. Refrigerate sangria until well chilled and flavors have blended, at least 2 hours to overnight.

  3. Serve over ice, and use a slotted spoon to include sliced peaches and grapes with each serving.

Cook’s Note

I use a dry white wine such as Sauvignon Blanc.

You can use frozen peach slices if you prefer.

Lahmacun Turkish Pizza

This Turkish-style pizza is a Turkish flat bread layered with a fresh sauce composed of tomatoes, sweet bell peppers, and minced lamb cooked with a flavorful selection of Mediterranean spices. It is normally garnished with fresh salad and a creamy garlic sauce and or a tangy zesty hot red pepper sauce. It is a really light meal, but filling and flavorful. I find it worth the time to make if I can't get it from my favorite Turkish bakery in my old neighborhood in Amsterdam. For the best flavor, make the topping the night before you make the pizza.

Nicole's salmon Wellington is much more elegant than it is difficult - it's really much easier than you think to make it. Encase a salmon filet capped with cream cheese, feta, and spinach in puff pastry, and bake until golden. It makes a beautiful presentation and the salmon will be moist and succulent.
