Chocolate Strawberry Banana Milkshake

A wonderful strawberry and banana milkshake that can easily be adapted for low-sugar diets. My mother got me started on this 20 years ago. I rarely add sugar or sweetener, but I realize that some people enjoy a bit more sweetness. You can substitute orange juice for milk if you like.

Easy Paella

Easy Paella

Paella is a classic Spanish dish featuring saffron rice with chorizo, chicken, and seafood. This easy recipe marinades the chicken in paprika and oregano for added flavor and adds the shrimp at the last minute for fantastic results. Serve this delicious paella in the center of your table so everyone can dig in.

Turkey Roulade

Turkey Roulade

This turkey roulade can be prepared in the morning and cooked quickly later in the day, a show-stopper for any special occasion. Turkey tenderloin is rolled around a cranberry and sausage stuffing, and it's a great option for a smaller gathering.

Shrimp Stir-Fry With Snap Peas and Baby Corn

Shrimp Stir-Fry With Snap Peas and Baby Corn

This shrimp stir-fry with snap peas and baby corn is a little sweet, with a little bit of heat, and is on the dinner table in a matter of minutes. Feel free to substitute sliced water chestnuts for baby corn. Egg rolls on the side are always a plus.

Slow-Cooker Fish Chowder

Slow-Cooker Fish Chowder

This is a great, hearty slow cooker fish chowder that's lower in fat. It's perfect for a winter's day. This recipe is very versatile. I use low-sodium, homemade stock, and I find there's enough salt from the bacon that no more is needed. You can change up the seafood, the vegetables, and the seasonings. I find seafood chowder difficult to reheat (a no-no at work!), so I make this when I have company coming when we can finish it in one or two days.

Cranberry Cheese Ball

This cranberry cheese ball with orange zest, sharp white Cheddar cheese, and garlic is simply delicious. The red and green color combination from cranberries and chives make it look extra festive and it's the perfect holiday appetizer.
